Welcome to the Great Swiss Mountain Dog Club. This club has been formed by a group of enthusiastic and dedicated owners and breeders of the Great Swiss Mountain Dog.

Our aim is to:-

Promote the Great Swiss Mountain Dog
Offer help, advice and support to owners and breeders.
Educate members on health and welfare issues
Encourage good sportsmanship
Share experiences for a greater understanding of the Swissy
Follow the KC code of Ethics for owning and breeding dogs
Organise shows/events throughout the year
Inspire owners to achieve the most from their dogs

The GSMD Club held its annual Breed Club Show on 23rd August 2025 at Northampton. BIS went to Doris Eki Balarda, owned by Ms M Pringle. BD & Res BIS was Atlan from Swiss Star, owned by Mrs Jan Buckingham. Best Veteran & Res BB was Desert Rose Our Champions at Vandervalley, owned by Ange Vandrill. A big thank you to our Judge Mr Eric Russell. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all those who supported this show. Thanks also to The Bernese Mountain Dog Club for inviting us to share their venue.
